Q about s14/s13

ive read alot of s14ka24de in 89-90 s13 swaps and they always say to use the s13 intake manifold and also to use the s13 ka24de ecu and harness..

why would i need to use the s13 ka intake manifold on the s14 motor? and why cant i use the s14 ka ecu and harness in my s13??

any help would be appreciated...

S14 KA's (except some 95's?) are OBD-II, you need the OBD-I manifold, wiring stuff and ECU to work in your S13.

i would see it as being entirely possible to do it whatever way you wanted. Just that the way u are asking about is the easiest way. not switching to the obII when u dont have to. and retraining the s13 stuff to make wiring alot easier.
