Remove the dust shield.

So both are identical?? Or somethings change like I said it has an s13 engine and trans but I replaced trans with a s14 sr trans

Dust shield, knock it off since you dont need it. They're the same damn transmissions.

I have an s14 sr trans on my redtop. I just swapped the speed sensors over and the reverse switch/sensor. It's worked perfect for over 5000 miles now.

Like stated just knock the dust shield off. I replaced my trans in my s14 with a s13 and forgot to knock the dust shield off. Caused my drive shaft to grind on the shield. Like an idiot I bought a one piece to fix it but I do love my one piece now

they are different I believe just switch them over. I think the sensor is different because of the dash

No, you have to use the chassis specific sensor. If you have an S14 chassis, you need the S14 speed sensor and vice versa. The cluster is caliberated for the specific sensor. S13 has pigtails while the S14 sensors just have a plug on the body.

I just put an s14 sr trans on my s13 sr. Its exactly the same. All you need to do is remove the dust shield and swap speed sensors.

yea i noticed but the one without the pigtails is a bit longer than the regular one. it sticks out about a cm,.. i was thinking of cutting the plugs from a s13 harness and connect the s13 speed sensor ..

thanks alot bro, ut my speed sensor isnt fitting right.. thats the problem from the begining, the stock s14 sensor is a bit longer, and it had a oil leak from there, therefore my tranny went low on gear oil and a gear grinded of,. but anywho, ima get another speed sensor so my cluster works fine
