blew my motor AND my tranny lastnight

so yeah last night i was goingdown the highway and i was driving bout 75 80 and i ost my 5th gear so i am like wtf...so i putit in 4th and am driving 65 at about 3,500 rpms.... then about 5 min later when i get to my exit i hear a big pop and my car starts smoking...so i pull over on the side of the road and i pop my hood and my motor is smoking pretty bad and oil everywhere and whili i am liiking at my motor i see some fluid flowing from under my car and that was my gear lube..so yeha my motor is fucked and so is my tranny...weird.i never knew that you could bow both at once..weird

Welcome to my world!!! I didnt fuck up my engine but i blew my tranny exactly the same way. Basically i fried my clutch and it took out my 5th gear, downshifted to 4th and then got stuck in traffic. So tried to down shift to 2nd and it went *pop* dead in the middle of the fast lane. Lost 1st, 2nd, 5th and reverse in 10 mins.

Yah thats wut im doing....wuts funny was i didnt know i blew my tranny. I knew i fried my clutch so i went ahead and bought a stock one. Was planning on using stockies till i do my sr swap in the summer but then i fire the bitch up and it was on neutral, started like its in gear but wheels wouldnt turn. Something was stuck inside the tranny itself. Run thru the gears, only had 3rd and 4th. SO i said fuck it...called my bank and got me a freakin loan.

my engine died the day i took it to the shop to get a quote for the sr....haha wasnt expecting it but it gave me more of a reason to drop it off and let them work on it :)
