i decided to go all out and build a vvl motor. I sourced a p11 motor locally and started the build. The head was sent to Mazworx and was mated to a 90mm sleeved block, the head got supertech springs and retainers...i also got their intake and SS top mount manifold, along with sr/vg trans adapter with drive shaft kit and custom garrett 1000hp intercooler. ID1000 and dual 044 pumps rounded off the fuel sys.

car looks great, looks like a solid build so far. why did you drop the vvl?

some ppl say its a dumb reason but i didnt wanna be tied to such and extensively built motor....if the motor had any issues in the future i felt as if i was married to mazworx, so i ditched it for something i can handle at this time. JZ motors are a dime a dozen around here, they make power stock and easy to build if i ever decide i wanna push it

as stated on their site, the manifold needs some work. the flange needs to be surfaced and the flange ports are MUCH smaller than OEM so its a must to port match.....other than that its a must have imho, its sooooo easy to work with. I can completely remove it in about 5 mins

Nice engine bay man 1j looks nice and clean in there! I see your temp gauge in the one pic is at close to 200 -210... Do you have any temp issues? Im running a 1j with an hx40 turbo swap and seem to be having a couple cooling issues my self.

the highest it goes is 200 which ppl say is normal and i have coolant only in there so im gonna drain and put 50/50, but as it stands now it hangs at 200 with no issues
