SR20 missfire ,got me puzzled...help

ok so my buddy ,called me yesterday . Said his SR20det is missfiring. Turns out its cyl number one. He swapted the coil and missfire is still remains. The coil does not fire! So I avised him to change ignitors. He did and still no change. He has compression and injector is working. Coil is not firing. Has anyone experienced this .could it be possible bad CAS. Should I start checking continuity on coil harness wiring. I know thats my next step. But was just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar missfire.

Also check the wiring going into the ecu plug, I've had the #3coil de-pin itself once.

will do, coil harness is good , checked coil to engine ground , checked center coil wire ground black /yellow stripe was good. Also power solid black wire is good .no open wires. Ill check Ecu plug like u said.
