300zx OBD

I've been searching up and down the web to find what kind of OBD my 1990 300zx has, it seems every site I get on it tells me something different! So i thought I'd get some better feedback here, can some one help? I'm trynna get codes for why my check engine light is on so I'm in need of what kind of port it is, thank you(:

Neither,

300zx isn't really an OBD1 system, since you can't plug in an "obd" scanner.

You need a special diagnostic cable, IE Blazt, ConZult, ECU talk.

96 300zxs are OBDII

No wonder every mechanic I've brought to try and plug in a scanner couldn't find the right connection. Okay, well I gotta go to specialty Z or something to try and find one myself or someone that has it,

why do you need an OBD scanner? The ECU has does a flashout of the codes with the ECU LED or on the dash with the check engine light.

How would I do that ECU Read our from the dash? Can you give me step by step please, I'd appreciate it alot(:
