I just bought an e5 from this website that I was told was stock. Popped it open and low and behold I find this:https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/s720x720/536327_786591537596_50502495_34223630_1935555487_n .jpg

Can I just pull that daughter board thing off to make it work stock?

If your not confident doing it I would take it somewhere to have it done.

Could I not just unplug that daughter board?

why not just buy a regular e5 and sell this one for profit???

No you cant just unplug Db , you have to jump from cj2 back to cj1.

Try it first. Probably just for stock car with rev limit increase, speed limit and boost limit increase or eliminated. A touch of fuel and timing here and there.

How are you going to sell a ECU with an unknown tune though? I ask in all seriousness.....because I have one with an unknown tune.

thats how, test it to make sure its good, then sell it titled 'unknown tune, works with stock motor'

At that point you are selling an ecu that has been chipped, not an ECU with a specific tune. It will make it easier and cheaper to have it tuned in the future.

It's pretty easy to find out actually Kvalue, latency and even Vqmap.
If you can verify the ecu works, powers on, fuel pump primes and you can run diagnostics you should be able to sell it. I would buy any ecu that is chipped and works with a dual burn daughterboard.

Seems to work fine in the car, makes alot of power around 3500-4k or so all the way up to about 6500-7000rpm.

why not just source a stock tune for the chipped one, and if you need to upgrade later, re-tune it.

You'll kick yourself if you go and upgrade later, and then think "i should have kept that tunable ecu"

Edit: well there you go, i would keep it then
