Two Questions?

I have search and could find anything, so I have two questions:

1) Should I change the water pump on my sr before installing it?

2) How do you install a Defi EGT guage? I kinda have an idea,but not sure about taking off exhaust manifold. Should I replace the exhaust manifold gasket if removed?
