I'd like to know thats the difference between European S14 (except England they have RHD) and US S14.

We in Europe have two mods:
'94-'96 Nissan 200sx (aka Silvia S14), SR20DET, 147 kW (200HP), ABS, LSD, T28, no leather, no turbo gauges, aircon optional.
'97-'99 Nissan 200sx (aka Silvia S14a), SR20DET, 147 kW (200HP), ABS, LSD, T28, leader, aircon dash is the same as S14 (no cel clock, no turbo gauges)
and
'94-'96 Nissan 240sx (aka Silvia S14), naturaly aspirated
'97-'99 Nissan 240sx (aka Silvia S14a), naturaly aspirated

and you have very wide range of S14 as I searched its 240, 280, Coupe, Coupe SE... I dont get it.. also you have S13 with SR20DET's..

could you please make it clear for me!

I'm interested specificaly in '94-'96 S14 SR20DET, 'cause I own such and looking for info on that.
Its so litle info on Japanese cars down here. :(

thanks a lot!

Others can give more specific information but basicly to clear it up for you this is what the US has in the way of s13 and s14.

s13 (89-94?)
240sx hatchback (jdm 180sx)
240sx coupe (jdm silvia)

s14 (95-98)
240sx coupe (base model and SE)

None of these cars came with an sr20, all US cars received KA engines.

s14 95-96 zenki with the big roundish headlights, Base or SE available, SE had 5 lug and other goodies
s14 97-98 kouki with the slotted/mean headlights, Base or SE available, SE had 5 lug
and other goodies
both had the same KA24de engine in it
the zenki had slightly different taillights i think

Wow a lithuanian s14 owner. Your S14 is much closer to a Japanese model than what we have in the USA. You're best off trying to locate some German 200sx owners as you obviously own a German market car. Good luck.

thanks, but mostly of german forums are in german language... so don't get a shit.. :) or they have only basic information on engine and stuff.

What I'm looking is, the correct model name for US market of '94 200sx S14, SR20DET, T28 we got in Europe. I know that in Japan they have names like Silvia, but not 200sx or 240sx.

cheers

All sr20det's in US are grey imports, o what? So you just have KA's upgraded wit turbo?

Yeah we got shafted in the US when it come to this, SR20DET are illegal for use on US public road as I remember correctly. Some folks in the US look at turboed KA's as a blessing.

I'm amazed at how little some of you that posted actually know about the US market 240sx. My suggestion- do some research and get your facts straight before posting.

What are you talking about mikey13, all us 240sx that came directly out of the factory came equipped w/ the ka24e or ka24de.....no ca18 or sr20.

Unless your are talking about the us 200sx the ser's came with a sr20de still not turboed.

But, not all ca18det and sr20det's are illegal, depending on smog regulations in your local area...which can be smog compliant if you take it to a properly govern'd auto specialist.

Unless, there is something little mikey knows....highly doubt it though. Always open to learn something new..... :fawkd:
