I got my s13 Sr20det in the car and its running horribly, long story short after chasing the problem all over the place I finally opened the ECU and found this:

Is that stock?
More specifically the board on the top. I can't find pictures online that look like this unless it's been tuned by someone. If I unplug that thing, should my ecu go back to stock (if it's not already)?
Also this is a code 62 ecu

Yes, it is a stock ecu that's been chipped and tuned by someone else. If you're car is running horribly, that's because it's tuned for different MAF or bigger injectors etc...

I know the ecu is for an S13 sr20det, what I needed to know was if that board on the top was factory or not. Since it isn't can I unplug it and have the factory tune back or will it mess something up?

Yes that's a chipped ecu, the chip is a daughterboard. Do a google search. You can move one resistor and it will put the ecu back to stock. It's very easy. you don't have to remove the daughterboard. Just search and learn buddy:)

It will not revert back to stock if unplugged from my knowledge, Take off the cover on the other side of the ECU, look on the curcuit board for like a "CJ1" and a "CJ2" I hope your decent at soldering, there's a jumper on the curcuit board at the CJ2 Location telling it to read off the tuned ROM. Unsolder from CJ2 and move to CJ1 to get back to the stock ROM, removal of the tuned board is un-needed, but you may take it out if you want.

Hey there was a switch on those jumpers, so I just flipped it to CJ1...

I had a chip once and sent it to RS-Enthalpy and he didn't even charge me to remove it, just paid for shipping.
So, if you don't feel like messing with it yourself, contact Martin.

I have a J4 ecu with a chip/daughter board.

I wish to know, can I remove the board, change this jumper, and have a stock computer again? I heard J4 are different than 62 but I never cared enough to figure out how they are different till now.

J4's are similar layout to Late S14 and S15 SR Ecu's. The jumper will be soldered to the R020 on top next to the big chip on the board. Need to move it to its stock position on R021.

What board do you have?
