Translation: I bought a bunch of new parts for my car, here's the myspace dump of photos in my profile, and I'm still using an RB20 and spent too much on a motor that sucks, though I am a mechanical engineer and I know this.

PS: My butt hurts and I love Ken Block and I'm going to gymkhana my RB20 S13 with custom adapter fitting for RB26 to RB20 retrofit and this will be the best build ever just you wait and see as I dump more random photos.

Couple things I see here before I decided to skip to the end of the thread...

1, What the fuck man... red pumas green ken block shirt, blue jeans? Did your mother not teach you how to match atleast a little? Oh damn... Ferrari edition pumas, subaru shirt, sitting next to a Nissan... wow.

2, Whats up with the random party pic of you and your inbred friends looking like total tools? What does that have to do with a build thread?

3, Learn how to post pics down a page not fucking spanning across the page a mile.

4, What dumbass(s) told you to start a build thread?

Zilvia these days... :picardfp:

This thread would be a good read if maybe it was better organized, documented, and if the font wasnt so small...

And about the TWLOHA thing, why even knock him for that? Sure scene kids wear it that wanna be cool(at least in Cali anyway), but the first thing I thought was, maybe he lost friends to suicide. And sure enough he has.

But yeah man, get your shit organized and all looking proper and then people wont give you so much shit. This is Zilvia, after all.

You didn't answer my question, I am really curious as to if this is a real major or if u are just a mechanical engineering degree

I attend Forsythtech in NC, it is funded by Richard Childress racing along with snapon. You can do a 2 year associates or then transfer to Winston-Salem state for the remainder of the race car engeneering which makes it a 4 year degree.

I would highly suggest this school due to hella hands on and you also can get certified using water jet and CNC machines. You also must take mig, tig, and gas welding. The two year basic classes are split between the chassis shop and the engine shop the remainder two are the engeneering part

Once again another day of working on the head
Started porting but wanted to first port patch my adapter to th 20 head then taper the port.
http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/yy190/mike10562004/dafe6293.jpg
I then simply took the adapter and placed it on the ports and scribed a line on which I had colored the port with a black sharpie.http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/yy190/mike10562004/fc2eb4cb.jpg

http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/yy190/mike10562004/5feef242.jpg

Unfortunately I was unable to tackle the exhaust ports this is how off they are..... Gotta love production engines.
So I am leaving a mild cut on the intake ports and not polishing them to aid in fuel atomization and the exhaust ports will be cut and polished to aid in exhaust scavaging.

(and on a side note I awoke in hopes of getting flamed on here.. I was shocked no hate mail so... Flame on bitches) troll face. ;)

Hey man I really appreciate it! I'm contiplating it eventually as no one produces them. I love looking at the Aussie forums for motivation! You guys have some really nasty RBs over there!! And the rb30s are a great platform for rb26 heads!

Check out a lot of the Aussie forums, you would be supprised at what they do to them!
Alot of people hate rb20s I find that benifiticial, as they are cheap. Everyone will hate what they dont personally run. And more power to them IDGASF, Im trying to be different and shed light on the underdog. I personally think SRs are "me too engines", O you have a sr?, me too... As dose half the world. Anyway I'll try to do a update later tonight should i accomplish anything.

I'm excited to see how it turns out.

and on the welds, you'll get better dont worry everyone has to start somewhere.

There are so many things I would have gone back and done differently the 2nd time on my RB20 build but hey that is because I didn't know the 1st time around and was learning.

While you're putting in a good effort, there are a couple of things that I'd like to point out that maybe you didn't know.

By making those front bars two piece and welded, you have effectively defeated the purpose of them. In a crash they are almost guaranteed to sheer at the heat effected metal right next to the weld.

You might also want to consider knife-edging the divider on the exhaust housing of your HX30. An open scroll manifold with a twin-scroll turbo is a recipe for slow response.

Lastly a good camera would make this thread a lot better.

Keep it up though!

Lots of work.

I admire your ability to let the negative comments just slide off you. I think that's important. You shouldn't care what a bunch of random, unknown, people on the internet think (even though you're asking for it by posting a build thread).

Build it the way you want, and enjoy it. If you get it done and think " i should have done this a different way" you can always redo it :)

That said, the colors aren't my style, but keep up the hard work!

I appreciate it man, yeah I'm just playing around with colors , unfortunately I have been using my iPhone to take pics and it's not the best camera so the colors are a bit off. The chassis will be painted soon I have decided to do a urban camp but switching black as for the main color. Also the engine has now been painted te gold and blue. The gold comes from the live strong foundation and the blue is my friends organization called WreckingTheCause which is similar to the livestrong foundation. This is why I chose the random colors.

Also keep in mind that the car was themed purple before and I haven't been able to reprint alot of things yet

is there even a theme to this build? or just find the most random colors and patterns to use everywhere you can on this car?

Twinkies!

I had a chance to sit down to review all of my receipts for everything and well honestly I'm sick but hey guess thats what happens when you build a engine vs just dropping one in. Anyways the goal is 475rwhp, I am however concerned about whether or not the hx35 is going to be sufficient, I have a friend with a ihi rx8 turbo that i'm head over heels for and i'm trying to talk him into coming off of it for a semi-reasonable price.

My injectors should be coming in sometime this upcoming week, I ended up going with Bosch ev14 800cc.

I am very indecisive about my head-gasket thickness though, I am running the cp 8.5:1 static so I'm wanting to go with a relatively thin HG... what are you guys running?

here is my word of advice, stop wasting your money at that school and go to wyotech, they have an outstanding motorsports chassis fabrication course and also an outstanding high performance powertrains course
