View Full Version : NEED HELP!! rebuilt ka wont start after driving fo awhile

I have a s13 dual cam ka with a brand new head and crank, all stock rebuild, new starter and battery and alternator, motor has 68 miles on it

So the car runs great but after driving it awhile it will start misfiring and if I shut it off it won't start unless I push start it, any help would would greatly help me out, thanks guys

Do you smell gas when this happens? Could be your coolant temp sensor, next time it shuts off disconnect the 2 pin sensor, not the single pin that sends signal to your gauge cluster, the 2 pin sends signal to the ecu to let it know if the car is cold or warmed up already the 2 pin sensor should have a red connector, try that.

yup smells like gas when i try to start it, and my temp gauge on the cluster takes forever for the needle to warm up so i will check that for sure

sounds like a spark issue.
