my car overheated it cause one of the heater hoses broke .
I pulled over and the car died instanly , it didnt wanna start so i called aaa , i got home and started right up but now i could hear a tiking noise coming from the top left of the valve cover by the intake manifold , it goes away if i rev it .. I did a compression test and this numbers came out
125 90 125 125 90 125
No oil in coolant or coolant in oil
It doesnt smoke at idle but if i rev it hard it will throw white smoke .

Piston rings are gone. Leak down test NOW

sounds like the head gasket. white smoke means water. not always with a blown headgasket do you get oil in water or water in oil, right away.

What about the tiking noise ? Can the overheating causeda valve to bend ?

125 is pretty damn low, 90 is pretty bad. Drop a cap full of oil in each cylinder and do another compression test. If it jumps up 30 psi, piston rings are done. If it doesnt jump up, then HG is shot since the oil cant help seal the HG, just the rings.

Most likely needing new rings/headgasket. Id pull her apart and find out what your looking at before you order parts. Rb26 rebuild isnt the cheapest.

But if the rings were bad isnt tge compression supposed tochange after i put oil inside the cylindr

Like I said untill you pull it apart your more or less guessing. The the ring is busted bad. Oil in the cylinder won't raise much I would think.

Yes, but since it didnt go up then its your HG. Well HG or you have leaky valves but more than likely its the HG.

Yeah im gettin lots of pressure inside the radiator and overflow tanks keeps bowling it

I did another compression test an this numbers came up
120
105
120
120
105
120
With the engine cold
I pulled the vale covers pff and didnt see anything weird .
Could the overheat made me throw a rod , i was driving normal ..

Sound like HG is goneif you got the funds I would say just do a basic overhaul on it then you will be good ,because once you ake the top end off,you should surface the block, not a must but for perfection, yes.

Wasnt this car just at a socal shop recently??

Throw a rod = big a$$ hole in the side of the block, so no you didnt "Throw a rod"

What about rod knock or cracked a piston can the overheating cause this?

It won't raise it up much, if the rings aren't the problem.

Leak down test is your best bet
