I pulled the cam out of the sohc ka inorder to replace the valve seals. I didn't remove the head, just set the chain off to the side.
After I bolted the cam and lifters back down, I noticed the chain tensioner was fully extended. I can't remove the front of the head, like the dohc. There doesn't seem to be any access to the tensioner, besides removing the head.
Is there a safe way to compress the tensioner without having to pull the head off?
