sorry if this is off topic but I didn't want to start a new thread, also I'll go ahead and search but...

Would I need anything special to bolt this up to a stock cat??

does is mount diagonally?

I don't think it does. Look at the bend right after the muffler, looks like it follows oem path.

hmmmm, I was actually hoping for 2 mufflers like the one in the picture. Too many noise restrictions around here at our race sites.

It looks like it sticks out quite a bit from the rear bumper

Yes, i know aftermarket exhuasts stick out anyways, but it just looks like this sticks out more

It doesn't stick out a lot from the bumper, the muffler sits more toward the front so it won't look weird and stuff..

Hey Mike, I would like to order one of these exhausts. Have you any idea what the difference is between the 1997-1998 and 1995-1996 megan exhausts? My car is a 1995, but I heard from www.meganracing.com that the 1997-1998 ones have the resonator. Is this true?

Thanks!

Also, will you or someone please post up some pics of these exhausts installed on a car?

the tip is just about flush with the rearmost part of the rear bumper, has a very slight outward facing angle to it (almost unnoticeable).

and i'm glad they finally updated the pics, i was pretty pissed when i saw that pic on ebay and bought it only to get a totally different design :bash:

What does it sound like?????? Idle....low rpms....high etc....I really like it,....one more question is,....I have a 2.25inch high flow cat waiting to go on,will I need some kind of reducer to fit it up? I am just concerned about 3" with a N/A KA

EDIT:I bought a muff....but I really like how this MR system looks :rawk:

But I need to know some things about it first.....I am an over-researcher! lol

Why doesn't anybody want to respond ??? Is this Group buy over?

My friend Carl has a Megan 3" exhaust and he loves it. He says it is rather loud when you dont have the silencer in but with it in it's not bad at all. If you look at the pictures above it does still low as will just about any 3" exhaust. That is some big tubing. It doesnt stick far out past the stock bumper as seen in the pictures above. I will definately be hitting up this exhaust in a couple of days if the group buy is still going on then. It is a cheap, nicely welded, mandrel bent, 3" cat back for only 330 shipped what could be better than that. Ghetto- 3" is typically a turbo exhaust you may even lose performance using it with a N/A car. I speak this from integra experience so I am not entirely sure about that considering KAs are 2.4 liters instead of 1.8 so I could be wrong.

You mean someone has a S13 without an engine swap??

I am going to be putting this exhaust on tonight. I got the Megan test pipe and turbo elbow as well. And a Greddy DP (cost was too good to pass up).

It's loud without the silencer, were talking too many db enough to get you pulled over. With the silencer in you can however pass the db test at a smog referee.

Yeah it sticks out a bit and looks a bit odd. The reason is if it didnt stick out the exhaust would flow up and just muck up your bumper (I've seen that on some S13's), so it sticking out while not aesthetically pleasing is a necessity.

Does it sit low? Yes it does, I managed to scrape here and there even when I was rolling stock ride height. Now that the S13 is lowered it scrapes on the muffler and the tip since the tip sticks out so far.

The catback appears to be mandrel bent though im not an expert. It does have a fairly bendy path in it though when you compare it to other catbacks on the market.

For the price I paid im more than happy with the product. I had to replace my exhaust due to old age and poor treatment by the prior owner, so I decided to save a few bucks and go with this system. I am happy with the product but should I find an irresistable deal on a higher end exhaust I will probably upgrade to that for now though this system is just fine and probably better than a stock exhaust.
