car cuts out at 5200rpm

pulls pretty hard for a ka (lightened flywheel and pulley and intake exhaust) but completely cuts out hard and won't go past 5200rpm any gear....it almost bounces off 5200 as if it were a a rev limiter. Its a 93 btw

any guesses?

I had a similar issue it was the ecu, well except mine bounced at 5200-5500. I dont remember which one

5th gear sensor on tranny, or bad ecu. Same thing happened to me put in an auto ecu and it doesn't do it anymore.

Stuck 5th gear switch or messed up tranny harness.
