Im planning to swap my s14 to rb25det, but Im planning to stay with auto trans. Is it adviseable? DO i need to upgrade the auto trans to hold the boost?

you can get RB25s with an Auto tranny. I can't speak to their reliability, but since they came stock you'd probably be OK with upping the power a bit. Probably don't want to go too far past 300-350hp with it though.

Why though? Autos are boring and suck power

The 240sx will be my DD, and I usually drive from GA to TN every third day that's why I need to keep the auto. I have the 350z as my wkend car to play, and it's 6 speed. I just wanna make my 240sx a lil more fun to drive.

What is the stock PSI for the auto RB?I wanna make sure it's safe and reliable.

if you want to make it more fun to drive then DON'T make it an auto. Isn't the drive mostly freeway? Stick it in 5th and cruise. You'll get better gas mileage as a bonus

Stock boost on the RB is ~11psi, but I've heard anything past 14psi is gonna cause problems with the stock turbo (ceramic blades).

Just my 2 cents but if you want to just make your car alittle more fun. WHY are rb25?! Just build up the ka a little bit. No reason to spend thousand of dollars on a engine and swap and custom parts just to have a Auto rb25 that you drive on the free way. Might as well sell the 240 and get a Prius.

Stock boost on an RB25 is more like 7 psi. RB20s run at 11 psi.

No, that's just what the wastegate is set at (on SRs and RBs). With the stock boost solenoid it bumps it up to 11.

Most people don't swap over the boost solenoid so they think stock boost is 7
