So I'm about to pick up a ca swapped 91 hatch. Thing is that it has this stange idle issue. When you start the car it idles for a second and just dies. You can start it and hold a rev with the pedal but as soon as you let off the car will sputter and stall, same with pressing in the clutch. The strange part is that if you play with the pedal for a little and hold the revs long enough it will stay idleing. It will stay around 1000rpm, and then go up to around 2000rpm and back and forth. The AAC was checked and is not the issue, nor do I think it is the IACV as it moves the idle up and down. Some background information on the motor: CA18DET with a GT28r, 440's, recirculated bov, on a believe to be enthalpy tune running rich. The owner of the car had told me if I lean it out with a SAFC it might help. Any insight is aprecciate. I have tried searching but didn't find any solid information. Thanks
