so i have a 97 maxima that i just bought that has some strange issue when it starts, when you turn the key the starter cranks about 3 times then pauses and then cranks 3 more times and pauses etc. on the 3rd crank there is a sounds like a dull deep pop like a backfire almost but its very quiet, when it does finally start it runs just fine with no issues i just dont want to get stranded anywhere.
its throwing knock sensor and air temp sensor codes but i dont think that would cause what is happening, please help me
