Ready to sell, I am the third owner and bought this car in 2004 off of Ken at Enjuku Racing about 2 hours from my house. It's been adult owned it's whole life and well taken care of.

CarFax is at http://30moons.com/1998Nissan240SXSECarFax.pdf

I was involved in an accident last year or so, but the car was easily driven away and there was no unibody damage. Everything was repaired professionally and at the same time I went with everything brand new on the front end.

DriftKat.com - The Nissan 240SX Super Site! (http://driftkat.com/98SEmine.php) lists most of the work and pictures.

I have since added a Luk clutch and fidanza aluminum flywheel.

KTS/SPL Parts coilovers, tierods/ends, tension rods, Cusco RUCAS, rear toe links, subframe bushings.

C's short shifter.

Kenwood KDC-X990 headunit, MB Quart RAA4200 amp, stealth quarter panel Image Dynamics ID10v3's and CDT CL62's in the doors. Doors, rear quarters and trunk have 3 layers of RAAMAT. 1/0 gauge wire to power and ground distros in the trunk...Optima yellow top in engine bay. Kenwood has Sirius unit and antenna is hidden under rear speaker grill.

Recently aligned and on newer Michelin PS2's

Only some minor dings that can be handled with PDR...very clean car inside and out.

131k on the clock, I have owned it since around 60-70k

Nismo motor mounts, Obayama strut tower and Cusco rear shock tower braces.

Whiteline adjustable sways front and rear.

Skyline R33GTST brakes fully rebuild and powercoated in gloss black front and rear with working ebrakes with new e-brake cables (no splices).

98 Mustang Cobra 17x8 wheels (lightweight and fit very good).

5Zigen ProRacer Spec A exhaust, random high flow cat and OBX header. Nismo exhaust hangers.

Powercoated black crinkle finish valve cover.

Crimestopper alarm with trunk pop.

Upgraded lighting all around (pretty much full candlepower store catalog from headlights to back up lights).

Most maintenance is totally up to date.

Has newer factory carpeted mats...only driver's side shows any wear. Recently replaced the wiper and headlight stalks and any worn items were kept up with.

All new window and door seals, windows still need to be adjusted.

Slight grind sometimes into 3rd. Don't know if this is the slave cylinder or master. Car wasn't ever raced or dragged.

Have owner's manual, window sticker, both keys and will include the 1998 Factory Service Manual. Should have most of the receipts. Title is in hand.

Ready to drop in the engine/trans of your choice and have a ton of supporting mods already built in. If I was still at my old job where I never dealt with clients or off-site work, I'd have gone to a LS2 with 6speed...

In the S. Florida area, West Palm Beach.

Selling due to seeing clients now and moving into a 2006 E46 M3.

I do actually. I guess you don't like being realistic or getting money. Thanks for the snide reply though... Take a look around on here. Swapped koukis sell for what you're asking.

I prefer to make my offers right in the open. Sorry if that offended you... Yes I'm 28. I've been building buying and selling these cars 12 years now, and have been a reputable member on Tampa racing since 2003. So yeah I know my stuff. You're 40 and trying to sell your car for what retard 17 year old Honda fan boys try to sell 240s for. There is nothing in the thread that makes the car worth 8500...

Yeah, I paid more than I wanted for this one then. Same way I am going to pay a premium for a M3 in white.

Make offers though in PM.

I have the stock exhaust and some other take offs I will include.

It's actually quite easy when I had a 1998 in one of the more sought after colors and option setups that looked pretty much like a brand new car. All the 'issues' with the car could be sorted out for under $1000. I kept things maintained and even like the $250 headlight I recently bought when I got a rock chip in it, I didn't really spare any expenses.

I mostly ran out of time the last couple months due to travel that I couldn't get it into a shop to sort of the few minor issues and then came across the M3 that I wanted. I was looking at $100/month to insure the car and $300+ in new tag costs if I kept it more than another 20 days. I have no doubt I could have asked for more especially in S. Florida and sold it, if I did these last few repairs.

When I was looking in 2004, 1998's were selling as high as $18,000 totally stock. Even then there were asshats bragging how they picked them up for $4000-5000 or even in the $2000-3000 range. Some people are ok with a beat up car that smells like ass. Some got lucky. Many bought automatics or non-SE/LE models and did the conversions. Many bought 95-96 models and said they were 97 and 98's after updating them.

KBB and the like don't really apply to cars like this with a low volume and high demand. People aren't usually going out and buying these types of cars for their 'transportation' value. Different rules apply.

Take the 1988/1989 Porsche 944 Turbos, around 2003-2004 when I was looking for one as well, they were selling at $15,000 for well worn cars and $25-30k for something mint. The book value at the time was something like $8000. You'd never find one for that.

The main problem is too many here simply don't have several thousand dollars to just put into play so to them everything is worth the $3000-4000 they can come up with.

Those same people then talk as if their cars are worth 2-3 times that.

It really sucks how crappy the community is to each other especially in for sale threads. On most any other forums, taking a dump in someone's vehicle or parts listing can be grounds for a ban.

I bought my mint 1997 Kouki, 5 speed, SE, for $4000. 1 owner, 100% stock...

From a dealership might I add. You all make these grocery-getters out to be some epic-golden-hotrod. Heres a thought: quit shopping for these on a website dedicated to modifying and maddrifting these cars. They are an AVERAGE GROCERY MACHINE that young kids, women, and elderly people bought.

Glad you sold it OP. Also glad you felt the need to justify you got "5%" within your asking price.

Hardly an average grocery getter, the trunk space makes it a poor choice for most. Thanks for sharing though. Pics of your 4000 buck car?

Bad choice for a gas saver. Since most 240sx's are beaters now, I understand.

Not sure what you are trying to prove though and sort of why I moved on.

I was posting to the people who were raving about prices, not you.

I for one appreciate the high prices of Koukis in good shape; it keeps them out of the hands of the drift kids to wreck their cars every weekend.

I rarely troll towards an OP, and I assure you I wasn't in your thread.
