I have a sr20 swapped 240sx,
This is the turbo i have blown:

www.tbo-turbo.com (http://www.tbo-turbo.com/prolist/t014.html)

Compressor.AR 0.42 Turbine.AR 0.86
Compressor Wheel: Inducer 42.8mm Exducer 60.1mm
Turbine Wheel: Inducer 46.3mm Exducer 53mm

Im looking to replace it. the car sits 2 hrs out of los angeles. im hoping to do one of the following:

1. buy and install new/rebuilt turbo. drive back with-out retuning.
2. rebuild turbo i have.

i dont know much about the turbo and all the tech specs, but if i get a similar one, what aspects of the turbo need to be the same. i know it would need to bolt up, but cant find anything that fits the exact specs listed above.

:fruit::wackit:

Thanks

Steve

Seems like an oem t25 will be fine.

perfect, i was confused with so many variations of sizes of turbine fans and all the other measurement, like i said, i dont know much when it comes to all the fine tuning with the motor.

If you have the OEM exhaust manifold, you should use an OEM turbocharger. If the engine is S13 variation, then a T-25 would be right.

Is turbo frozen or is it blowing oil
if its frozen u can drive it home like that
u just wont boost..
I rode w a frozen turbo for a week

UPDATE:

Got a replacement turbo with a T25that had low miles on it from a shop out in LA.
Replaced the turbo, worked fine until about 1/2 way back from Palm Springs to Los Angeles, (about a 2 hour drive)
I noticed on the freeway in 5th i couldn't boost anymore with the new turbo
i drove it back
took it to a shop, everything looked fine with the install.
he was suggested one of 2 things.
1. there was a clog after the turbo, perhaps the cat was so clogged with oil from the old turbo preventing boost.
2. some clog in the intercooler.

as it sits now, i have check the cat, looks new.. there is a rattling noise i hear sounds like its coming from the turbo.
last time i tried driving it still smokes, not it will barley boost.

im trying to upload a video of it now...
