Hey so I have currently been rebuilding a KA and before I could finish I had to travel back school. Before I left i had the whole motor semi assembled; the bottom end was installed and the head was put back on. I then took it a shop so they could just finish it up for me while i was away. They said that they would have to take it apart and that i would have to get a new head gasket because it was compressed to full torque.
I am wondering do i have to get a new one even though the engine was never turned on or used?
The head gasket that was used was a metal Cometic head gasket and it was all together and at full torque for about 3 months.
