Manley Pro Series Turbo Tuff "I" Beam Steel Rods
Manley Pro Series connecting rods are forged from aircraft quality 4340 vacuum degassed material. Each rod is fully machined in the Manley Lakewood, NJ factory to the highest standards. Our signature "Turbo Tuff" design combines the appropriate weight and rugged strength for ultimate horsepower applications. Each rod is shot peened after machining and magnafluxed. Bores are round and without taper. Bend and twist is tightly controlled. Cap fasteners are 3/8" APR 2000 cap screws.
Wiseco Forged Pistons
Wiseco leads the performance aftermarket by producing the highest quality forged pistons for domestic automobiles, sport compact and racing applications right here in the USA. Wiseco is unique because they forge all of their own pistons in-house, and produce all of their own forge tooling right here in the USA. This allows them to control all aspects of their manufacturing process from raw bar to skirt coating finished parts.
Eagle Forged Connecting Rods
All Eagle H-beam rods are forged from certified 4340 chromoly steel. While a lot of companies make rods from this material, if you pay close attention you will notice not all 4340 is the same. For instance, to be classified as "4340 steel" certain alloying elements must be present in certain percentages. AISI/SAE specifications call for 1.65% to 2.00% nickel content. While this seems like a small difference, understand that this is almost an 18% variation. 4340 steel with 1.65% nickel will act a little differently than 4340 steel with 2.00% nickel content. This is just one of many alloying elements involved in creating 4340 steel. Through extensive material testing, Eagle works closely with the foundry we use to achieve a much tighter tolerance of all alloying elements to our specific requirements. Along with this, the heat treatment and tempering process used is vital to producing a stong steel. While exactly what they do is a closely guarded secret, all of this attention to detail results in a stronger and much more consistent material. Their "4340" steel routinely tests 10-15% stronger than "typical" SAE/AISI spec 4340 steel.
Deatschwerks Fuel Injectors and Pumps
Founded in 2004, DeatschWerks, LLC is a company dedicated to providing application specific, high-performance fuel systems solutions. Located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, DW operates out of its own 12,000 sq. ft. facility that houses all of the company's functions including design/engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and administration. DeatschWerks' roots were established by offering high flow drop-in fitment fuel injectors for Nissan engines such as the popular SR20DET, VG30DETT, and VQ35DE. Soon thereafter, DW expanded to cover Subaru, Mitsubishi, and other popular sport compact makes. Today, the DeatschWerks line-up of fuel injectors includes over 250 applications and sizes that cover both Sport Compact and Modern Muscle applications. In 2010 DeatschWerks entered a new territory when they released the DW300-series in-tank fuel pump. Adhering to their philosophy of application specific solutions, the DW301 fuel pump is available with fitment kits for over 30 popular applications.
GReddy Engine Components
Engine and drivetrain strengthening become an important aspect within the "Total Tune-up" concept once large changes in boost pressure and horsepower are introduced.
Bolt-on engine accessories like colder Spark Plugs to deter pre-ignition, larger Fuel Injectors to provide more fuel, stronger Timing Belts to resist skipping or breakage, and lighter-weight Pulley Kits to relieve drag, all assist in fine tuning higher horsepower in a performance engine.
But when seriously high power is the goal, the tuner must look into the engine itself with our GREX line of engine components. Higher lift Camshafts along with adjustable Cam Sprockets allow the characteristic of the power band to best match the application or turbocharger being used. While a Metal Head Gasket and/or Forged Pistons will provide the strength need for extreme cylinder pressures associated with super-high horsepower engines. In these cases a factory connecting rod can be the weak link. Our nickel chro-moly Connecting Rod Sets resolves this issue.
