Hey, I have a built SR, just got it tuned and putting down 300+ to the wheels, tune is pretty solid... but i have slight misfiring during idle and at around 6500rmps on WOT noticed some misfiring too its REALLY bothering me guys, not to mention my knock reading gets to about 32 on WOT, my friend got his SR tuned and rode with him afterward and asked him to go WOT and he only gets around 15 knock... im assuming that the misfiring might have something to do with it but idk, my local tuner said i might have to regap the plugs, they where at .028 and he told me try to gap them to .025 i did that and it didnt seem to help im running the ngk bcpr7e and when i regapped they still looked good even after the tune help me guys:cry:

should get iridium plugs?
is my knock level bad? (I want to practice drifting but dont know if my knock levels safe enough to do so):bash:

Thanks in advance!

how much boost are you running? pump gas? methanol? injectors? fuel pump?

60 or higher is something to worry about. I hit 112 once. Only once. It was pretty bad. I reach 8-10 knock now. Thank goodness.

Does it spike to 32, or does it stay consistent throughout WOT?

15psi, 91 octane, DW 810cc, 255 pump

hmmmm....at 91 octane and those plugs you should be safe at 15psi. maybe the plugs are too cold? have you tried 6's? also how is your tuner? is the fuel map clean with no hiccups?

Ok, i haven't tried 6's, fuel map is clean at least to my knowledge it is when driving everything seems fine its just idle and after 6500 is where my small prob happens a/f ratio is good through out the powerband. as far as the tuner goes he's pretty solid with his work, awesome reputation in Tucson prob the best... he tunes cars all the time alot of happy customers lol

Could try retarding your timing 1 degree.

32 is pretty normal, mine usually hovered between 15 and 28

32 isnt bad.

Your tuner should be tuning for knock. I would adjust any of your settings, let the tuner do it. So if you fawk something up, its not your fault.

well as far as the misfiring problem goes... i just removed coilpack 1 and 2 and i think 2 is kinda broken, im checking the play with the springs and number 2 is oddly loose as if the spring isnt attached to the end of the coil pack??? whats your guys take on that bit???
in the mean time im going to remove 3 and 4 and check those.

I run around 50. Mines has spiked to 149 (wtf i know) This has happened few occasions and no noteable hickups while mashing it. I think these sensors tend to pick up nothing from time to time. Anything above 60 is eh. btw my setup was tuned by rs enthalpy

those numbers are more like guidelines. For instance if you see that 32 is quite common, but when you retard your timing 3* (lets say you twist the CAS for a universal quick fix) and the knock count drops to 28 and never spikes back to 32... then that 32 is probably telling you that there was too much timing. make sense?

Its more like an "overall noise" Indicator. Some of it is just noise, some of it might be actual knock.
