The VQ35DE is one of the most popular engines Nissan produces. It came in 10+ vehicles worldwide and because parts are readily available off the shelf at your local parts store it makes swapping it into your S-chassis a little more desirable than the JDM choices out there.
About 5 years ago we here at Z-Fever did our 1st VQ35 swap into an S13. We had to use an AEM stand alone and that wasn't cheap. We also had to change the stock drive-by-wire throttle body out for a cable driven unit. Doing this was pretty expensive.
Since then we have worked to develop a cheaper solution for our customers and we finally figured it out about 3 years ago. Here is a video of our tuning solution in action:

We use the stock OEM 350Z ECU, harness, and accelerator pedal.....
We also need the pedal's connector and an OBD-II connector from an 03+ Nissan vehicle.
You send us that along with the S-Chassis' upper and lower harness and we wire it all up and send it back to you looking like this:

From there, you can install it......

nope, you can modify the factory tach to read 6cyl.. and speedo does not work without some work into it

To answer the question, No the Z-Fever VQ35swap harness solution will not also manage the speedo, tach, or other gauges. Not just with this harness service but we have figured out how to make them work already. It takes a few things.
We use an MSD tach adapter to change the signal and then another sign wave adapter to convert it again and adjust the tach signal to be accurate.
As for the speedo, the newer cars use the ABS system to acquire the speed signal. It then goes through the ECU's CAN-BUS system then to the speedometer.
If your car does not have ABS then you need to get a rear diff that does like a J30, Z332, S15, R32, etc... and install it. Then we make a wiring harness that powers up the ABS sensor on the diff and use a square wave adapter to convert that signal to what the speedo needs and adjust it accordingly so that the speedo is accurate.
This is what our harness looks like. It only requires someone to hook up 3 wires.

The cost is reasonable considering the newer technology in the VQ35. And it is still a ton cheaper than running an AEM or other stand alone. If you run stand alone you STILL have to address the speedo, tach, and gauges. So this might be too expensive for your personal budget (understandable if that is the case).
However, if you are someone that has made the decision to do a VQ35 swap then our harness solutions and ECU tuning solutions are the best value in the marketplace for this swap.

Notice that its only 500 bucks for the wiring...... o yea but did we mention its 450 for nats removal? wtf? 950 bucks for a stock tuned ecu? I mean i realize you guys need to recoup the cost of the R&D to accomplish this task but thats pretty steep. Is the ecu tuneable for twin turbo applications or bolt ons?

It is what it is. $950 to wire it up turnkey ... We actually pay Uprev $250 per license since we use their software to tune the ecus... so all in all you are getting a harness service and a tune on your ecu for this price... Not bad when you consider that we charge $600 to do a NA tune on a 350Z, and we do them quite often.
Besides that... this harness service required a LOT of time on my end to figure out when I was not making a dime for the shop. We are the only ones that do it so we can dictate the price. I think it is reasonably priced for what you receive... Hook up battery, ground, ignition you are ready to go... or go get a AEM for $1600 a harness for $1100 and a tune for $500 ... you are over $3K that way.

Nice product! If I can give any advice, simply dimiss half the flack from people saying it's 'rpciey' or 'that's it?!?' as 95% of them can't afford to even do the swap in the first place...

Doug does good work, here's a teaser of the roommates setup running a z-fever harness. He helped us through the phone and email figure out small issues that we were having. Even let us ship the harness back out and check it out again for us, made a video of our ecu running a stock 350z and overnight ed the parts for us.

ok so if i wanted to send you both my harnes since i want to keep the abs and fully functional cluster w/obd port...how much would you charge just make the harness? without flashing the ecu ill do that on my own

Any plans to "beautify" the harness in the future? I love the price and i love the service that you are providing to people, but in my personal opinion the harness looks pretty jank.

That top one is our test harness we use around the shop. The ones customers receive are loomed all the way up... look oem.
We are getting in touch with admin for advertising btw.
