rb25det build questions...

alright... got a question for the new motor im building here.... ok..

so i no rb20's and rb26's have oil pump issue's, but i dont see anything about the rb25's having the same issues.... do they have those issues and if so how doo i fix it. do they make oil pumps that correct the short crank issue....

also, im taking the bore out a little, from 86mm to 86.5mm. all i can seem to find is 86mm and 87mm head gaskets. whats going on with that. which one would i use for my pistons. im gonna go out on a limb and say the 87mm.

RB25's have the same crank issue, it can be fixed by using a Crank Collar.

an 87mm HG will work just fine

awesome... thanks. whats funny about this is i have been trying to remember your name all day to ask you these questions beccause i have seen that you know more then most about rb motors. you just so happen to be the first to reply. lol.

and other up grades that you might recommend that most ppl dont think of besides the regular maintenance stuff?

Uhhhh... Nismo thermo, Greddy Style Intake manifold helps clean up the engine bay and make Maint easier, Good known set or new Coil Packs.

really just look through my build thread and you can find new ideas if you havent thought of them already
