trapped airflow equals drag.

honda guys been doing that since the 90's.

on a street car? no point. just rice points.
on an actual drag car it allows trapped air to flow through the rear bumper.

why not just run no bumper

Or just run no rear bumper and problem solved.

It's for his rear mount turbo. Creates suction from rear and generates a nice vortex to help it give more OOMPH!

My buddy added 2 mph to his trap speed by doing this. I know it doesn't make since to us but it is functional on their cars.

Agreed. Here in PA theres so much rice and hondas that do that. And they arent even clean hondas around here, only a select few are actually clean..

Better gas mileage. A rear bumper really is a drag-chute on modern cars.

have you seen what 240sx owners do to their cars? we keep the glitter vinyl companies in business.
in 2011, 240sx owners are worse people than Honda owners. prove me wrong.

each hole is a victory mark for each race they won. the more holes the more badass of a racer. also tends to help with reducing weight.

i have about 17 holes drilled on my swingarm on my bike. its uneven at the moment and need to win one more race so the weight can be 50/50 on both sides of the bike

wanna racE?

It is functional. But I would never do it to a street car, especially a daily. Fuck that.

This. But you have to take into consideration that Honda guys lack the ability to think for themselves. Therefore they jump on whatever bandwagon is popular at the time. Since lately S-Chassis and drifting have been more popular, they switched to 240s. In turn, the majority of these ugly as AIDs, complete abomination "drift" cars have been due to Honda guys.

I give it 3-5 years before they swap back to Honda, and then you will start seeing unifinished, riced out 240s driven by old people and 16 year olds, cuz they drew the short end of the stick.

I hate them. Ugly as sin and completely mess up the flow of the body
