View Full Version : Fuel leaking out header

title says it all..got my swap done when i rev the motor above 1500 fuel starts spitting out where the exhaust manifold bolts to the motor...
heres a pic

this is how i got it..isnt there supposed to be 4 bolts on there anyways?
im thinking the fuel issue is a bad injector..am i correct or is it possible the wiring to that injector is also bad?

coolant?? if that hole has broken through to the water jacket, but you sure its fuel??

if that was fuel i would be very scared.

could be coolant or oil leaking looks like ur valve cover gasket is soaked

yeah thats why im scared to start the car it flows pretty bad higher rpms

How could you possibly get fuel on that side of the engine when there is absolutely nothing fuel related on the exhaust side of the engine. Its more than likely a really bad oil leak coming from the valve cover gaskets.

hahaha or be running sooooo rich that its passing the rest of the motor and shooting out the other side into the exhaust and all over the engine bay....hahahaha

i know its hard to beleive but its fuel for sure it starts spraying out where the manifold bolts are supposed to be..

He'd be hydro-locking the motor trying to start it if that was the case.

OP its coolant or oil, most likely coolant, take off the manifold and get to work

Coolant wouldn't attract dirt/dust like that. It looks like oil. Remove your valve cover and replace the gaskets.

its CLEAR and when i touch it feels nothing like oil..must be coolant..thanks guys
