ka24e running rough

i have a s13 im throwing together to sell and i stuck a single cam in it. the engine runs just very rough and backfiring.

i am getting tired of messing with it and was wonder if anyone had any suggestions on what it could be

most of the time its the MAF sensor. Try cleaning it and do the other typical PM parts. Rotor/Cap/Wires/Plug

I will give that a shot. If the hard timing was a tooth off would it run at all? i just found out the timing chain has been replaced and in hasnt ran right since.. i checked the ignition timing and its good.
