2j 240sx speedometer help

I have a 91 240sx with a 2jz gte swap with a R-154 out of a soarer and i would like to get the speedometer working and i want to make sure all i need is an analog cluster and harness (because my digital one doesnt work) and the dakota digital speedometer interface. i have done a lot of research and all i can find is where someone is trying it but never gets back about how it works so i want to be positive before i start spending money.

Dakota Digital speedo interface box. and the speedometer pickup. i think you can get a Merlin? one as well.

correct me if im wrong but isnt the pickup for a cable operated speedo? there is a cable one in the trans now because it was a swap for another car but i believe it came with a electric one which i still have.

I dunno, pull out the 2J one and look for a similar Nissan one, swap gears if needed and calibrate
