My 2nd gear(sr20det)grinds, always. Even if I double clutch, it still grinds a little into 2nd. This isn't good for the track. Is it the Sincro? What should I do? Who could repair it? Thanks.

usually if they synchro goes bad there is nothing short of a rebuld you could do, some people claim that using redline mt 90 helped them out, but it didnt work for me. Another problem could be that your slave cylinder has gone bad and you need to replace it

Hey Jason, haha. Yeah, it sucks really bad, I think i'm going to try to blame it on IIP, I'v only have the SR like a week.

How much would a transmission rebuilt cost?...If its just the one synchro, and the barring or whatever.

Jason's right... nothing short of a rebuild. Knowing many (other) US foreign offices/companies (ahemNikonahem), they might not even touch your SR tranny, though.

BTW if you're still grinding when double clutching (yes, either downshifts or upshifts), then you're obviously doing it incorrectly. :) Learn to do it properly and you'll be set.
Shifting down, the only gears I double clutch are 2nd and 1st. All other gears I let the synchros take care of the spin-up. Shifting up, I'll double clutch once in a while when I feel like being stupid.
