J30 axle rebuild

Welp, looks like they raided the all the junkyards in my area for J30 5 bolt axles. I was thinking about rebuilding mine or using parts from a Q45 to rebuild it. Has anybody done anything like this before?

You'd probably be better off having them rebuilt. The parts aren't that cheap.

If you use new parts it will likely be as or more expensive than rebuilding. The boots themselves are gonna be murder if you can even find them. Stay away from rock auto boots. I ordered from them/they sent me completely round boots/tried to return and refund/denied. How are you going to inspect them? If yours are broken find new ones on ebay or in classified.
