View Full Version : 9 Inches In The Front

I've got a set of 18 x 9 inch wheels with a 26mm offset. (Yes, they're Mustang wheels.) The tire on it is a 245/40/18. The fronts stick out about 5/8 of an inch on my S14. I'm wondering if camber plates and a few degrees of negative camber will fix this.
Please only answer if you have experience with this setup. While I value everyone's opinion, nobody appreciates wasting time reading through a thread that doesn't answer a damn thing.

Its should fit but i rekon its going to be really tight! Roll the fenders just to be safe.

Dial in some negative camber and you'll be fine.

Like MazzyMan, I'd roll the fenders too just to be absolutely safe. It also has alot to do with what size tire you're running.

18x9+29 with 3 degrees negative camber. 235 45 ES 100s. it fit no problems.

Aren't your tires a little undersized for a 9" front?

Some consider my tire choices to be huge. Those that follow the "stretched side wall" school of thought put 215s on 9" wheels. 235s fit fine feel great too.

rolling the fenders is getting the edge rolled up a bit isnt it? to fit the larger wheels and get rid of sharp edges?

Damn, Oscar, that's one awesome S14. From your photo album, it looks like you're running an 18 x 8 +36 with a 15mm spacer up front. That's effectively 18 x 8 +21, and I'm trying to squeeze an 18 x 9 +26 up front. Wanna try your rear 18 x 9 +29 wheels up front for me? Just kidding. Still, sweet S14. Adding it to my favorites.

I had two sets of Volks GT-Us and GT-Ns. in the pic I had both of the 9" wheels on. (GT-U 9"+29 front, GT-N 9" rear).

Sweet, that seals the deal. I'm gonna get some Tein camber plates, maybe some Ingalls camber bolts, too, and see if I can stuff those pigs under there. I'll post up to let you all know how it turns out. Thanks for the input, Oscar.
