Brian Crower 2.35L Stroker kit
-Billet Steel Crankshaft 91mm stroke
-89mm bore
-CP Pistons 8.5:1 compression fully coated top and sides
-Brian Crower I-beam connecting rods with upgraded wrist pins

would i need to sleeve my block because of the bore size of these pistons?

pro's cons of such a big piston?

research meter->:ghey: It would ruin your SN. Cons a shotgun blast to ur wallet but thats it. Depends on what you're looking for in your setup

i think he was very helpful, he gave you a couple of good pieces of advice:

1. Use SEARCH (research)
2. Search with Google (research)
3. This is a good setup, as you would know if you Searched as there are a number of people using this setup with great success.
4. it's f'n expensive.

hope that helps.

edit: pretty sure you DO have to sleeve the block...

Its not worth the money. If you want a bigger motor turbo a ka it will be cheaper. If you want to build your motor just run higher compression pistons and whatever rods. You will make good power.

NOT worth it. im guessing you want big power? i personally know people who have like 500+whp on 86.5 mm pistons (stock sleeves). all you need is a 30R ;)

I'm sure you can special order them with stock sized pistons.

If you're going so far as to buy a stroker kit why not get the added assurance? Billet sleeves vs. factory ductile when you're looking at a stroker kit?

the answers to your questions, YES you HAVE to resleeve your block, pro you have a bigger engine/more torque/power, con you have just built a super expensive ka, and you have to change your name

waste.... just get the 9.1 compression pistons ( i used weisco with mine) and eagle rods or whatever fits your fancy. machine bill for a bore, deck, polished and balanced crank, port and polished head, valve job, and resurface of the head along with the cost of cams, rods, pistons, arp hardware, springs, retainers, and metal head gasket will cost arund 2600 maybe even less if you install all the parts. I myself would just let the machine shop intall the parts

instead of buying the stroker kit for your sr, sell the swap get a ka24 back in and stroke that, if you just have to have your motor stroked

hmm okay, i already have a built head, cams, springs retainers, valves, ported polished, hg etc. thats why i was considering the rebuild.

i dont want a ka so stop suggesting it.

Stock crank can handle about 550HP.. If youre planning to make more then that then the stroker kit would come into play as well as sleeves for insurance.

Pros are a much bigger displacement and reliable 9-10k RPM range
Cons is the money and time from the with machine shop to build this up
