I tried to search button but not exactly the same symptoms... I just bought this '91 240 in september and it was driving smoothly because the temperature was very high for a high. Then, one day I had to start it up in the cold, wait 4 minutes, drive it somewhere but the clutch pedal was about half way down and I couldn't shift without forcing it. Sometimes, it will grind but its usually just a hard shift. When it warms up, about a two mile drive, the car starts to shift normally again. It only happens during the morning startup or very cold days. any ideas? master/slave cylinder? thanks in advance!
