s13 sr20det grinding noise

alright i got a sr20det s13 built head peekboost topmount manifold with a tail wastegate and percision turbo i been hearing a grinding noise when i rev up the engine. that noise sounded like it was coming from the trans so when i jacked up the car the grinding whistle noise was coming from a electric y pipe in the exhaust. so i removed it and sounds louder from the turbo exhaust down pipe. the turbo boost normal and still pulls hard. what can be causing this noise.

Shaftplay on your turbo. Check the wheels I bet its rubbing to the housings.

the turbo is fresly rebuilt and its journal bearing if i remember correctly those always have play at leat thats what the guy a percision told me

Depends on who rebuilt it also. and did you prime the oil system after the reinstall. Turbo can go out almost immediately if not rebuild properly due to unbalanced shaft and poor oiling system.

i sent it back to precision turbo company and my i primed the turbo and my turbo before he tuned my car
