so ive been searching around and cant find shit. so anyways my ka runs awesome pulls strong and all of that junk. well the problem is when i go to start it. it doesnt want to start and i have to give it some gas to get it going but once its started it runs awesome. ive replaced the plug wires spark plugs coil and ive changed distributors with another one. if you could help me source my problem that would make my day cause ive been looking into this forever. also i replaced a bunch of sensors like o2 temp, knock and some others. thanks guys

iacv? i never heard of a bad iacv causing starting issues. idle issues, not starting issues. that's a first.

The pedal trick only works on carburators not efi cars! Anyways u might wanna check for any fuel problems umm go and pump some 91 octane from chevron it cleans out fuel systems very well or maybe a new fuel filter! I'm sure your spark is good right? Ka"s are recommend to use very good sparkllugs I think they are double platinum or some like that. Good luck

fuel press regulator

yep sounds like a bad fuel pressure regulator, I would check there first. Take off the vacuum line going to the regulator and see if you have fuel in the line. If you do then the internal diaphragm is leaking fuel through into the vac line and your getting more fuel then you need. Thus the hard start up.

You are wrong, The pedal trick works it might not flood it with gas but it does help start

Im having the hard startup as well with my SR.. I would have to press the gas pedal and crank a couple of times when cold, but itd be fine warm including startup. I pulled the fuel rail off recently and on ign on #4 inj was pouring so Id check those inj
