Hey guys, I started HMKnobs with my dad by just making little random knobs for guys round town. I then posted pictures on some local drifting forums and they seem to have alot of fans. I try to create the best quality shift knob at a price that can't be beaten. You'll be getting a high quality 6061, steel inserted, HAND MADE shift knob at a great price.
HM stands for handmade. None of these knobs are ever going to see a cnc. All these knobs are cut by me with all manual tooling. It's something im very proud of.
Here are some of the basic characteristics of the shift knobs.
-All are hand crafted
-Made from 6061 aluminum
-Steel inserted (I know that in motorsports a shift knobs rigidity can be tested and this causes me to never question it breaking)
-All leave in packaging with a nice hand polished finish
-The desired size is up to you (In the shaft shape). I prefer to keep them to 12" or less and anything higher then that will probably end up seeing a price increase.
-I would say after much testing the desired diameter is 1.25" but that is all up to you. This is going to be your shift knob and it should be exactly the way you need it and desire it to be. Feel free to inquire about anything custom.
-(CURRENTLY) Im only making m10x1.25 threaded shift knobs. So pretty much any nissan, mitsu, FD rx7's, and many others. But this will change very soon. If you are not sure what your thread pitch is please pm me and ill locate this information for you.
Turn-around time
-Please expect there to be a week for production. I get MOST done in two days but being that I do this one the side and i do it for such a low price that I can't make it my main source of income so I do have other jobs.
Pricing
-Please inquire via pm.
-Grooving and tapering is at no extra cost.
Here are some pics for you guys. I have some pics of the cars running my shift knobs and some detailed pics of the style of shift knob itself.
