How can I tell the difference betwent KA24DE & E

I know it's as simple as looking at the motor but I got the car with the RB25 swap. Is there any other way to tell whether I used to have a KA or E in the S13 chassis that I have? Will the VIN # help? Any input will be appreciated.

1)look at the plack on the firewall, 2) what year is the car? 89&90 sohc

89-90 came with ka24e's 91-94 came with ka24de's.. So if you know the year of your car there is the answer.

What year is it? 89-90 had E's, 91+ had DE's.

LOL, thats what I'm saying. You own a 240 with a rb but you dont know what year 240 had a ka24e,ka24de. A number of things may occur with this combination of ignorance and rb/240 combo: Flaming,being ripped off, killing yourself, killing others, going broke, stupidity, and just plain not knowing what the F$ck your doing. My advice to you is to do your home work and educate yourself on the engine/car you have. Owning a car like that is going to need intermediate mechanical experience at the very least and or lots of money.
