hmm.. thats almost like a trick question. these things scrape the top of the rocker arms over and over so i guess id have to say yes there are scratches, but none that would get caught when going over with a finger nail. hope that answers your question.

i dont think so, what does it take to break in cams? they have less than 5 miles on them.

no i did not. didnt know that was necessary for solid lifters.
