This is posted by a friend who doesn't have a Zilvia account.

'97 SR (the engine went down a cliff in the previous car) won't hold idle when it warms up. The cold start actuator allows it to start and idle at 1600 rpm. After about a minute, the revs drop slowly, and the car shuts down. If you try starting it up right after, it's much harder to start or it won't start at all. If you let it sit, the cold start allows it to run for a minute again. The only way to keep the motor idling is by giving it a little gas constantly. by the way, the motor is swapped into a 91 fastback automatic (converted to SR manual) chassis. this
problem has been pestering me for the past week. Any info that anyone can give me will be much appreciated...thank you.

Almost seems like part of your exhaust collapsed. Check your cat, make sure the honey comb didn't crumble on you. Then check electrical groundings. I don't think it would take the engine that long to ground itself out, but check anyway. Maybe your battery is dying/dead..
