vB code question: color highlighting text

How do i highlight text in a certain color?
I thought it was "blahblah"...

Look at the options you have in the 'vb mode' box, should be a box that says color just pick a color and type or type the vb coding its self --> [color=red ] insert text [/color ] (minus the spaces)

nono, i don't want the text itself to be a certain color. I want the text to be black like normal but have a colored background.
