sounds like MAFS Your MAFS should have a green sticker on it.

Sounds like a MAF problem. It could be disconnected or gone bad.

Its probably a Z32 MAFS (N62) which is the wrong MAFS for your car.

You either need to source a J60 MAFS or get an SAFC

I really advise getting the OEM MAFS unless you plan on running a lot of power in the future, (then keep the N62 and get a real tune)
RB25 S1 MAFS (its also the same as the RB20 MAFS)

Question, are series 2 mafs the same? I just noticed mine is like a brownish sticker or some nasty shit like that, revs over 5000... at idle havent drove it yet.

Hmm, I just checked my MAF, it has the purple sticker that says (N60). But i have no idle issues. It does run rich at start up though.

Thats the wrong MAFS if your not running a SAFC setup for that MAFS

I read that you can get away with using it though with stock ECU. Dont quote me on thsi though.

N60; I believe that's a maxima mafs. Usually if you can't rev past 2500 then it's because the mafs is dead or dying. But just because you CAN rev past 2500 doesn't mean your tune is ok. If you don't have the right mafs, or a tune to compensate, then your readings and tune will be off.

I had same problem with my rb before and tried 3 maf sensors and nothing. Ended up being the battery terminals just slightly corroded. Check the little things...

Its your Airflow meter.
Problem = Dirty
Solution = clean

1. Pull your AFM off,
2. Cut the wire mesh off both sides (easier to clean)
3. Buy some spray called "Contact Cleaner" (Crc type stuff) and some cotton buds (the ones on the sticks,
4. Look in there with a torch, clean all the metal contacts
