UGH I have been on here for some time now but money sucks parts cost to much lol and well im just broke. So i figured i would get a jump so you guys dont get sick of me posting pics of taking off 2 bolts at a time

I bought the car April 09 dirt cheap no rust..
It ran but it was a wreck, No seat belts, celica seats with with carrige bolts holding them in. was a real joke..

It had been painted atleast 3 times with a can and was sharp enough to cut you .



Starting with the day it was dropped off

any way first things that needed to be addressed was the shot clutch slave. took care of that and by passed that damn block. Made my life much better.

I drove the car for about 3 months till I started reading about this 248/248 cam swap people were doing. Then I saw a video of it on youtube and was like well it might not be like boost but it sounds sick!

Of course when I do it all goes to hell 2 days later but was sweet

After this began the tear down for some reason my mind and hands had 2 diffrent Ideas on what we were doing. I was suppose to just take the head to get checked out tanked cams put back to check and throw it back together and well this is were we took the turn to overhaul..

well of course i wasnt done tearing things up. So I attacked the interior also

and also out came the sub frame " I STOLE THIS PIC TO CONTINUE MY STORY"

OK next step after that was to install SPL solid sub frame bushing and uh WOW these guys were no joke to install you can see my mangled self adjusting wrench because my impact got them so far in then i did the rest by hand

also met with Shift Jin and picked up a j30 diff and axles fyi really kool dude. If you live in Ky or near Winchester hes the go to guy

Ok back on track to getting it where it needs to be and when the money really started flying

redid the trunk with spary on truck bed liner came out great looks great

lol ^ for my 5 lug I have a set of s14 se wheels

next task was the seats if you have a s13 im sure you know the back seats are not people friendly being that they are to small and when your tall and you have s14 seats that go back farther then stock it makes it worse. so its a looks only so I bought some Sem fabric dye and did the rear seats black.

I also picked up some s14 seats for my car from shift jin btw he is my # PARTS GUY and started on the audio side of my car... Yea yea i know my build is all over the place but its gonna be finished all at once so i try to keep it balanced.

the lip is already on the list and has been for almost a year... and thats kinda the plan.. its gonna be a drag/race/enjoy myself car. Also just being able to meet cool legit people. I like my stuff to have a stock like function but do alot more.. Car also will have a/c and power steering


and I did install some 180sx seat belts so im gonna be a little better off

Yea I try to do all my own work. Just helps save on money plus I can't stand the way most people at like shops are working now. They just try to do as little as possible and don't really do things the way they should be done. It's my first time painting so we will see if I have a talant for it. I got a few runs in the bay but I'm not worried because there are down at the bottom of the towers

Are you talking about the seats? If so its a SEM product like on the following page Vinyl, Leather, Plastic and Bumper Coatings (http://www.tcpglobal.com/autobodydepot/semcoat.aspx) I pick it up at a local paint store..

Well these sales got me. I ordered my front mount kit and a radiator... looking forward to them so i can see my car coming together after paint... couldnt paint today the building wouldn't get warm enough but temps supposed to go back up a little so stay tuned...

Ok ive been slacking ill admit it but im so sick of dealing with the cold.. i have no intrest at all in being in it or working during months that its cold. but ive switch a few things up had a few above 40 days so i worked a little..and I meen a LITTLE...


Ordered some parts. and replaced some parts. and put on some parts that ive had..
sold the 30r got a precision billet dbb 6262 .82 from Rob @ TPR here in cincy :hyper:
sold the tial 38 and got the new 44 vband mvr and wow its smaller and up tighter then the 38 especially with the v band

ordered a xcessive z32 kit with the shifter adapter so i could use my 300 tranny that ive had for half a year. also ordered a spec ka 2 sr flywheel and there sr stage 3 clutch that has been pushed by sr owners over the 730hp.

mated everything and started getting the harness attatched to the motor still gonna get a new intake probably a gato performance but im on a mission to to the car down to formula d atl and some other events in florida the first half of may so im getting the basics done.

also installed my tein inners and outs

got a oem shift boot because im not worried about being the most baller person out there. tomei short duracon knob

Yeah great idea, just run no hood so that when you park it and go inside its a free-for-all to see who can take the most parts first! Just cut a hole in the hood for the turbo to peek through, all the supra guys do it when their turbos are just far too big for the car.

K working on finishing things up for a little ive got some things I wana do this summer with my car so I am just trying to get like 12lbs out of it at least make like 350 which shouldnt be a problem...

so far I have gotten the rear 5 lug swap done with z32 brakes. started working on the little things that you tend to forget and double checking my work so far I dont want to find out the hard way.
also ordered my aeromotive stealth pump aem rail ID2000s lol and a aeromotive reg.. still waiting on injectors that have a custom piece to go into the stock manifold to replace the dumb chewed up rubber 1s I have..

I had the same problem on my vert with the SLS manifold, I actually modified my mouths that bolt to the motor and got a LOT of clearance out of that. Just a suggestion you might want to look into.

Yea the mounts are solid but i dont want them really i want a avid set. This is also a street car but the pan is lower then the subframe already and im.not gonna go lower.

Thanks alot for the positive support... It means alot... as for the roof I think I am gonna paint the whole thing black and not just the pillars.. the more i see some cars the more I like it..

and for the manifold I did paint it somewhat just a light dust kinda its only temporary.. I plan on getting a gato mani but It eliminates the iac and stuff but I kinda am just trying to throw it all back together for now before i have to many things to figure out if i have to do some troubleshooting....

Great job man. You can see the dedication in your work. That Gt3076 should get you close to 500whp with 400 plus ft lbs. of torque. Ka-t's are alot of fun when built right.

Yea it all comes down to what you want.. It comes down to you picking a platform and then filling all the spots for the things it needs. the strong internals the good fueling and make sure you dont skimp out on tuning. but besides that there is so many options of engines or what ever out there

Any ways lets see I havent gotten to much done really hadn't even seen the car in like a year untill 9/15 brought it down from ohio finally. did a first start and a 2nd start. Car hadn't been here a 2 weeks and i already received a letter from my home owners association have 2 small oil leaks but not to bad. mostly its gonna be paint that i need to get done. And finish my 5lug and get it on the road. Ill share some pics


THE LETTER FROM THE ASSOCIATION

On This past Sunday morning the car was all the way out of the garage with the front end up on lifts. He got the car startered and was revving the engine to the point that the neighbors could hear it with there windows and doors closed. All this started around 9:00 and the reving around 9:48am

Working on a car is against gpe regulations unless its done entirely insides ones garage. with the door closed. also, doing such work outside of the garage in a development such as ours is also a public nuisance and is improper for that purpose as well. please inform your tenant that he is not allowed to work on his vehicle unless its completely inside his garage with the door shut!

There is a bunch of stuff that I still want to do to the car. thats one of the things. but I want to get the car road worthy first. money is tight and I just want to enjoy my car for now

what kind of spray on bed liner did you use? it came out great. any tips on doing it? looking to do the same to my 93 hatch.

I wana say I used a 3m product. It was one of the more expensive ones I found at O Reillys. but just got some nice scotch brite pads and went to town on the metal made sure to get the cracks. cleaned it all up with some prep all I have and then sprayed like 3 light coats. cars been sitting for 2 years with stuff in and out and has held up well. there are a few spots that came up when i pressure washed the back before paint to get the dust out. but besides that I cant complain
