car weight

Hi I was looking at the sticker by the door and it says my car weighs something like 3600 lbs. Isnt it more like 2600 or so. Why would it say that. I have a 91. Thanks for any info.

Yeah, we're closer to 2700-2800 or so dry, depending on model/year/options. Wet I think we're about 100bls more. So an optioned s14 will realisticlly weight over 3000lbs with driver.

Pretty common misunderstanding, but the 3600 is the max the 240 can haul including it's own weight.

i weighed mine a few months ago. it was 2650 lbs. that was with a 1/2 tank of gas and gutted trunk. ive yet to really do the rest of the cock pit, but im sure ill get around to it. id like to see what it weighs then! :)
