How flat should the inside of the SR oil pan be? (other than the factory ridges that look machine pressed. i think my SR oil pan has a SLIGHT dent in it im think about removing it and taking a hammer to it. so, how flat and what should i use for the gasket? Thanks.

You can bang it out as much as you'd like, as long as the pan does not touch the oil pickup. As for the gasket, use liquid gasket or other type of RTV gasket maker.
