My 90 coupe may have a bad fuel pump. If that's the case, is there any harm in upgrading the fuel pump to a Z32 or Walbro unit, before doing the SR swap? In other words, I'd be running a big pump on a stock KA24E.

Thanks in advance.

your stock FPR won't be able to handle the increased pressure created by one of those units. Upgrade that too and you'll be fine.

What unit should I upgrade to? I have no experience with this, so any suggestion would be helpful.

both are great. walbro makes a few different pumps also. the only downside of the z32 one is its more expensive.

Sorry man, I meant what should I upgrade the FPR to? And will I need an upgraded FPR for the SR, or will the SR just deal with it?

Thanks again.

Not sure if Ka and SR FPR's are interchangeable but i'd recommend MSD ones. they have a couple different models and are only like 50 bucks. you can get them thru options. The SR FPR can take the extra pressure but you might as well get an aftermarket one if ur doing many upgrades. :p
