I need some advice on this KA24DE crankshaft and rod....
Can you machine a KA crank?
Is this rod too far gone?

ha same exact shit happen to me. i had my crank machined and then replaced both the rod and main bearings. and just buy a new connecting rod because that one may have a slight bend to it now.

everything was good then? i've heard from multiple people that it is not a good idea to machine a KA crank

Bring it to a machine shop and see if it's way out of spec or just try and source another one.

Find your local (trust worthy) machine shop and have everything checked out. New rods are cheap so buy new.

FYI: I do not like to use anything other than STD cranks in my rebuilds/performance engines.

yea everything came out good. i had scratches on the crank too... it cost me a little less an 300 for bearing and to get it machined. now i just need to start it and see how it runs.
