Walbro pump

My walbro fuel pump stays on when i have the key in the "On" position before i start my car. How can i get it to just prime before i start the car?
What would i be looking for if i checked the pump?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but when you turn the key to the on position the fuel pump should begin priming. Doesn't matter if you're actually going to start the car, in order to prepare the motor for starting the pump will prime. Why does it bother you that it does that?

you guys are wrong, his pump stays ON when engine off, it should only prime, maybe someone hardwired it... check your harness..

I dont think that is a pump problem. that is either a shorted wire, or someone wired it incorrectly to begin with. check the relay also.
