So, I've been reading and everyone says to use 80w90 but I have 2 quarts of Redline 75w90 gear oil and I wanted to use it. Would it be allright if I used that instead of the 80w90? Is it going to be that big of a difference?

For where we live it will make almost no difference. Make sure you add the frinction modifier!

With a vlsd you don't need friction modifier... that is mostly for clutch types. 75w90 is fine.
